I have mailed my I-485/EAD/I-131 on July 26th and same were received at NSC on July 27th. I did get the receipt numbers for all the same yesterday. The receipt date is Aug 27th, 2007. I did have an TSC I140.

Your case is similiar to mine. Just curious did you get TSC or NSC numbers.
I think TSC nos start with SRC and NSC is LIN.

With all due respect let me make a couple of observations here.
1) First you file a lawsuit that prevents fellow Eb3's from porting to Eb2 at a later date, even though those individuals may have advanced in their careers and would be eligible for better jobs.
2) Now that you have successfully broken a united community into two factions, you want the IV core to now further take up the "Eb2 cause" against the USCIS, because YOU cannot file a lawsuit against the USCIS (the 500 pound gorilla) an organization that doesnt give a c**p about the immigrants and even its own internal processing "rule"?
3) Let me ask you, WHY should the IV core help ONLY the Eb2 at this point. You and some other Eb2 members were and are flexing your muscles against the Eb3 members who have been suffering in the EXACT same manner. What exactly have YOU contributed towards uniting the Legal employment based community and what have YOU done to help the Core team so far, that you now ask the core team to specifically take the Eb2 non-sequential processing up with the law-makers?
If you see a problem with the non-sequential processing, why dont YOU write to your own senators/congressmen and ask them to follow up on your individual case?
One more thing, if you are planning on replying back saying that "This is my last post on IV" so be it. IV does not need members who think of just themselves. And yes if you are planning on giving me red/gray/green dots please feel free to do so.

My situation is not any better. I am working for a GA based company since 2001 got stuck in the backlog center with Priority Date Oct 2003 (labor apporved in Nov 2006 I-140 applied in May). After calling the company HR for 30-40 times in last one week I was able to talk to HR guy, he said the ceo will allow only those who have approved I-140 to apply for I-485. He also said then once priority date retogressed again I will be able to get 3 years H1B ext. that will be good for me.:mad: I think these desi blood sucking compnies will be obsolete in couple of years. If USCIS make the rules better.

there is a definite procedure, we follow it with appropriate paperwork and itll get done.
only thing is after ur date becomes current. YOU may have to WAKE up the application by using lotta phone calls/infopass/congressman etc.
a colleague of mine got this done last year. his case was like this. its eb2 to eb2...but
i think it wud be similar to eb3-eb2

in april, he got appproval for 485, no RFE, card arrived direct in mail.

Did you know I-140 dates are prtable from X to Y after 140 is approved? I am sorry to hear your pain, but you can check if you can atleast maintain your priority dates.
Are you sure about that...never heard of I140 portability. If it were true...why would there be such a big ho ha about AC-21.

The guy Affirmatively said "It will be June 2002" and gave me red because the dates i gave were behind , Ithought it was funny because we are all playing the prediction game.....

I totally agree on EB3 to EB2 porting but the PD should be the day he qualified as EB2 not the original date of EB3 which makes sense.
This way everyone is happy.
People who have done Masters (EB2) should get the GCs first. :) ...Relax dont give me a red for this. I already had enough.

Just reading this thread, so not sure if I can attend today.
Will surely attend the rally with my wife on July14th.
Just a thought..Why not request all our GC/citizen friends to also attend?

I don't think its much different from what is posted. Only one time contributions are being considered for this event.
I have a shared doc with StarSun and all known ones have been accounted for the above total.
Only one month left to achieve our funding goals.
It does look like there are only a few hundred (~200) willing to actively participate for the good of others. About 0.04 % of all EB2, EB3 filers.
One possible strategy.......
Dividing 50,000 into that, it will be great if you hardworking people, fighting for legal immigrants, can touch about $200-400 each,
while the rest watch from the sidelines and cheer for us :), and also debate & analyze spiritedly.....
I'm at $300 now for this event

<Rant>There is not mistake, i always feel that there is some @#$hole at the USCIS or state dept whose only goal in life is to get a sadistic kick by toying with the dates. How can these @#$@#@'s not realize that there is a person behind each visa number </Rant>
Like my title says - Could it be a mistake on their part for EB3 I ? Was it meant to be 15th April 2002 ?
In March of This year it was 15th Oct 2001. Then it goes to U for untli Oct and now its 15th April 2001 (gone back 6 months !!!!) This seems odd for a new fiscal year with new Visa Quota however small EB3I may be - are there still that many 2000-2001 applications pre-adjudicated in the system waiting for a visa that they had to roll it back ?

May be not true, my case assgined to officer on june 29th and no news yet. But I wish Ski_dude12 good luck.
in my case iwas exactly 3 weeks.
Someone else mentioned on this forum that the officer will clear all the cases assigned to him/her within 30 days.

Where the hell all these guys when EB3 is getting 80K to 100K of total 140K visas all these years and EB2 is getting just merely 10%-15%. Nobody from EB2 didn't felt jealous like this before. It is hard to digest for them now.
So what were your expectations from EB3-I in those past years .... to fight for EB2-I and write to USCIS saying please don,t issue GC's to us but instead use those Visas and issue it our EB2 - mates.
