Mine was filed on July 31 as per FEDEX tracking number was received by C. Houge....I am hoping to receive my RNs on the first week of September based on the rate as per USCIS Receipt Processing Notice....

GC Status:
I am seeing that reedandbamboo is considering for EB2 only. We have to include EB3 too for law-suit. I beleive that we will have more than 1000 people if we inlcude all categories.
I will give 200$( 100$ for me and 100 $ for my wife)
Ofcourse all categories are included...EB2/EB3, I/C/ROW...anyone who is unhappy with USCIS random processing and retrogression of the dates is welcome to join the fight.

It is just a letter recognizing that there was a SR made etc...
There really is no substance to it. You should get your letter before 45 days of creating the SR. I got mine on the 45th day.
Once again, the letter says nothing. What should happen is that your FP appointment should be made during the 45 days after you create a SR. If it is not made, you get "the letter." After the letter, I was told to wait 60 days from when I received the letter to get FP appointment and if I didn't get them within those days to call back.

IV core is very much aware of the problems as we ourselves face them, and working within our limited means and time. If you are interested, join us and give your helping hand.
Curious Techie..Core is you and me and dont post such things..but for the core EB-2 would not have been in a postion that it is today..they worked to get this done...you can request them in thier next meeting to bring this issue with USCIS\

One of my friends was a plaintiff in the lawsuit that you mention. As you mention, USCIS quickly approved all cases. So didn't the plaintiffs won the case?
I hope our potential lawsuit will have a similar effect. We file a lawsuit saying we are discriminated based on country of birth. USCIS opposes the lawsuit, but quickly approves all our 485s. We both win in that situation.
I would be happy if EB2 India gets upto Dec04. Forget EB3. Also any lawsuit is only sustainable only if its properly funded, well represented and there is wide public support if you expect the class action status. Mr Rajiv Khanna filed a lawsuit for 485 backlogs and its class action status was denied by the judge which I personally think was a biased judge and later USCIS quickly approved 485s of plaintiffs making lawsuit moot.

Honestly i dont think any one person should "organize" it. If something goes wrong, then organizer will be held which is un-necessary trouble for some one wanting to do good!

I don't think having a MS degree supercedes a BS always.
How can you compare say for example a BS+10 yrs person with a kid just out of school doing MS. Doesn't jive. I think at somepoint both level off. Just merely having a MS degree doesn't mean anything without experience.

This thread was opened for working on Action Item. EB2-I community is giving all stupid reasons to divert us from our Action Item. Please stay focused and lets work on Action Items.
We already sent petition to support those three bills. What else shall we do now. We are running out of time and only few days left before Congress goes on recess (or whatever the term is). WE MUST ACT NOW.

Thanks.. All of our checks were sent by lawyer and they were not telling me any thing. When I asked them repeatedly, they just said checks have not been cashed and our dear USCIS refused to give any update, as it has not been 90 days. I am still waiting for FP notice or receipt for my I485/I131 and receipt for I485/I131/I765 of my wife.

From your knowledge of words it sounds to me that you should get a "PhD" in language or politics or something like that and apply for EB1...Why are you doing EB3???
If we were to buy this weak attempt at making a 'logical point', I would be glad to give Ron a call and have his folks look into YOUR respective EB2 applications and find out if there REALLY was "NO" qualified US worker available for that job. Want to play that game?
Look, the EB system is what it is. Instead of trying to bait others into silence by suddenly finding 'fairness in this system', only because this part of the puzzle narrowly goes to serve / protect your gains ... try to come together to fix the underlying weakness in the system.
For the record, I am not bitter about a 7+ year 'wait'. On the contrary, I have grown professionally thanks to the opportunity to focus my energies towards building a Billion dollar corporation. That said, I would LOVE to see the paperwork of EB2 Java 'gurus' and L1 converts stand up to true scrutiny ... and that would open a whole new can of worms. Game?

Wanted to know what the members here think of the probability of receiving RFE from USCIS to find out whether the applicant is still in a "same or similar" job when the time comes to adjudicate cases for for EB3 India.
I ask this because in a poll conducted in a separate thread, it seems the number of people waiting for their GCs are more with PDs before Dec 2004 than after that date.
When the dates become current again for these people, do you think USCIS will be sending RFEs to get the employment information for every single of them ? Is there is a percentage from the pending applications that they pick for RFE, assuming all applicants who changed employers DID NOT notify USCIS when they changed jobs OR is it completely up to the whims of the adjudicating officer to send an RFE ?
There are several people I know who changed employers with EAD, never notified USCIS and got their GCs without any RFE. Trying to understand whether USCIS will think twice before sending RFEs for everyone as the number of applicants waiting with PDs of 2004 and earlier are huge now than ever before. What exactly is the point of this rambling debate? Does anybody really thinks he/she can make an EB2 see the point of view of EB3 or vice-a-versa? No amount of legal/moral/philosophical arguments is going to convince the other party and we all know it.
All this debate has done is to bring out the ugliest side of all of us to the surface. There are EB2s claiming every EB2 is by definition superior than EB3 which is insane. And there is an EB3 who is itching to take help of none other than Ron Hira to shot down somebody's GC application as a retribution and couple of people applauding him for the brilliant idea! Really? Do we really thinks this is such a grand idea?
Just accept that everyone's only guiding principle here is self interest and move along. No need to jump through hoops to interpret the immigration law in 101 different ways and no need to call attention to personal suffering and plight. If we do really believe personal suffering should take precedence over everything else on humanitarian grounds then lets all first fight for illegal immigrants since their suffering is much worse than anyone here!

Gandhi - giri works everywhere and it has worked in this country too, have you heard about civil disobedience in this country too.. if you did not then you might want to use our fav : google and look it up. - Rosa parks , does that ring a bell? sometimes simple things take you farther than highly publicized event.
