Yes, great to see fellow determined souls here so far
Goal is to get atleast 1000 to start with.
First step is to collect details ( Name, E-mail and Ph No# )
Please send them MAN-WOMAN-GC ASAP . He has gracefully offered to maintain a spreadhseet.
Once we reach the number of resources, we will have conference calls, meet in person whoever can, arrange for money, decide on lawyers ( which MadhuVJ has some very good suggestions ) and move on from there
We are doing it brothers and sisters.

POE will be peace bridge niagara falls.
I think it will be smooth. Landing by road is easier than by air. You need to do the following as soon as you have landed. I recommend you land early in the morning as gov. offices are closed at noon:

I will have to check with my attorney. But, my I-140 approval came from TSC but my I-485 application was sent to NSC.
If anyone else has had a similar experience, please post your update here.

I have not heard of any rejection. But, the fact that you're receving 1099-MISC means that you're not full time. In fact, you're not even an employee for the company. If you receive an RFE, I assume you'll need to produce paystubs (which the OP don't have). In addition, you won't even get 1099-MISC until the year end. In short, no proof to overturn RFE.
IF the company can produce such a letter, technically it is a fraud since the OP is NOT a full-time employee. Replying to RFE with no proof and fraud intend won't fly.

payslips are not "required" only thing needed is a proof that you have been offered a job that meets all those conditions we all know about. technically, you dont even need to be working when you get RFE... ac21 memo allows self employment very clearly and distinctly. however, it also allows for two things: 1) it allows the IO to ask whatever questions they want to ensure that the job is legitimate and not a fraud. 2) it allows the IO to investigate if there was truly an intention between the beneficiary and the petitioner who applied for I-140 at the time of filing for I-140 AND at the time of filing I-485 (if not con-current). Fortunately, the IO is limited to investigating all this only by means of RFE (i.e. he cannot send the FBI or CIA behind you).
the problem for you and for me is that all this shit has not been proven in court... will you be the first person to take this risk? if you respond to RFE and then they deny your 485 and then you fight a case to overturn that denial, then it will set a precedent in case law that can be applied to all of us... so, please do it and let us know! :-)

My wife got EAD approved on 16th Aug and I got my approved today. I do not know why 10 days of delay.
One thing I noticed is within last week or so, lot of people are receiving EADs and I485 processing is slowed down. I think now they are concentrating on EADs and come sept they will again jump to 485s. Just a guess!

The views expressed in the context of sending grammatically correct letters is appreciated. As such, it would make sense if we can send the same letter, which would not only emphasize the same point but would be grammatically correct as well :)
Sending poorly drafted letters may not speak well of our community please

Sending a grammatically incorrect letter is much better than sending no letter or sending one in Jun-10. From last 2 days, I saw no one doing anything. Hence I sent my letter. Correct, I didn't spend too much time on it. If you so care for grammar when are you getting the correct letter out?

This thread just puts things in perspective. Getting a GC and beyond is a good thing, but in the larger scheme of things, enjoying the present moment and enjoying what you got is far more important. You never know when it can end !

got my receipts today.
Case Details:
i-485/EAD/AP sent on 7/25 and reached NSC on 7/26 for my self and my wife.
i-140 still pending at NSC.
Got the receipts for all 6 cases from lawyer today.
i-485 for me and my wife got transfered to TSC and pending.
Case status shows Received on 7/26 and EAD approved for me and my wife from TSC on 09/26.
AP pending in TSC.

Hello All..
Can anyone throw some light on why some cases have not been receipted so far and are pending for any action..No rejections, no receipts no cheques ..nothing..
I see guys already starting to discuss EAD and opening companise etc..
We are still waiting for the ACK fron USICS...
My case was received at NSC on 18Th July by R cook, whose name I havent seen in this frum...and no info so far..Called USICS and talked to 2nd level clerk but no receipted so far.. so they have no info..

Will surely attend the rally with my wife on July14th.
Just a thought..Why not request all our GC/citizen friends to also attend?
I will persuade all my friends to attend.
If not anything, they can see it as a nice stroll in the downtown.
