PD cud have been applied at time of filing the new I140 but now you need to file new labor and new I140 to get the PD ported.

In fact your latest I94 number is needed on ALL your forms. So you will not be able to even complete the forms till you get back. So either
1) Cut your trip short and return
OR
2) Continue your vacation and fill up all the forms electronically and get it verified by your lawyers if they agree to do so and then update it with the latest I94 after getting back

BUT, as it happens, I'm up in Canada on vacation at the moment, planning to return next week. I've never had to get a visa stamp or surrender I-94 or any of that stuf.

The fees keep changing and should be checked on the website of your nearest Canadian Consulate/Embassy.

I missed the last rally and I regret it. There was a moment in time when we were all really energized. The flower campaign was brilliant. But now we seem to have lost that fire - me included! I dont even remember my dates anymore. I know we have a serious problem of getting people together for anything. But starting small in our own cities and connecting to a national IV would probably work. I am here in Sterling Heights, MI (Detroit Metro Area) and I am willing to host people in my area It will be great if others in other cities can do that too. I am dre. ming, but think about it if this works. We can march to washigton again such large numbers that everyone will notice. I really think its time to get together and do something. Bouncing ideas on IV boards is great but lets meet and get to know each other and see if can talk about this problem face to face across the country. Thats what grassroot effort it!. If nothing, we will find new friends in each other. I hope to find that fire in us again and I thank you for reading my post!

File electronically this time. Its not hard and less chances of error. Make sure you provide the correct country of citizenship. It is right after your address and a lot of people including myself chose USA there.

I think it is high time we need to set rules and roles for senior member alike - they are supposed to bring people to the group not the otherway around - We are setting a wrong precedence - A guy who has contributed more than you, can ask you to lay off ilikekilo, and that is not far away.
Anyways, Some of the members have become super stars by being here and wanting to do more so let seniors show the real attitude to freshmen.

Also, one should know we are not getting help from our group, I know many guys who are effected by GCs in my office in my neighbourhood, I can't even get them to make one call to senator office,

People make fun of me and call me "Immigration specialist" when I take up this issue with them. No one understands the complexity of the situation and no one wants to talk about it. But I am sure many actually monitor these sites for some news they want to hear and pretend to be silent.
No one wants to contribute for a good cause but want to reap benefits when others work hard for it

Don't know much about how long medical tests are valid for but for sure the test has changed. I medical took a test last year for the employer sponsored green card and just took another medical test in August for another green card petition and my doctor told me that they're much stricter with the TB section.
I saw the form and it is totally different. They're asking for more detail.
I had to take another vaccine, which wasn't required last year.

Due to the priority data transfer issue my I-485 application was rejected in June'08 (submitted based on June'08 visa bulletin).
As part of my application necessary medical exam tests were conducted in May'08. If I were to submit my application today based on the new visa bulletin do you think I need to take all medical exams again and re-submit? Won't the first set of medical exams have any validity?
Also, on the forums there is a talk about medical forms being changed? Can anyone confirm?

We can try to make a legitimate point that H1Bs contribution to the economy is huge. Guess what that is why the companies try to hire more H1Bs. But... who is listening?
In the depression years - post 1929. Immigration to the US fell to 10% of what it was in 1929 and remained like that for 10 years. 400,000 Mexican immigrants were forced back to Mexico.
Immigration officers proactively sending back H1Bs is not totally unexpected. I hope and pray that the economy and the job situation improves in the coming months. Otherwise I wonder if there is more to come?
You should also quote medieval times examples here. So slashing H1b's heads could be justified.
My friend, 1929 is not equal to 2010. With all globalization happenings and trade dependability between countries this is not a fair treatment. This is modern world where export and import are essential and no one can stop it. In case of H1, knowledge is being imported into this country for whatever reason. I am shocked at your comment "proactively sending back". What they are doing is NOT proactive. If they want to act proactively, then they should send a letter communication revoking the H1 petition stating economical reasons even before going for stamping.

Can one have valid H1B (I-797 only) and then travel on AP and return? This way he / she doesnt have to get a visa for H1B when returning. Any inputs?

I would like to know what are the primary reasons why employers revokes approved I-140 after invoking AC21 after 180 days.
a. I think one of the reason is Labor substitution. If they want to use it for someone else. Now that this is eliminated, I think there will be minimal chances of revocation in future.
b. Do big companies like Infy, Wipro do this?
c. They could revoke because of problems between employer and employees...I think we need to be patient and work this out..
Please reply with ur inputs.
